Cenni Biografici
BIOGRAFIA PROFESSIONALE: Guido Barbujani è nato nel 1955 ad Adria (RO). Ha lavorato alla State University of New York a Stony Brook (New York), alle Università di Londra (Queen Mary & Westfield College), Padova e Bologna, e attualmente è professore di Genetica all’Università di Ferrara. Si occupa dello studio del DNA in popolazioni moderne e antiche, collabora al Sole 24 Ore. Oltre agli articoli scientifici, ha pubblicato romanzi, fra cui Questione di razza (Mondadori 2003, Solferino 2023), Morti e sepolti (Bompiani 2010), Lascia stare i santi. Una storia di reliquie e di scienziati (Einaudi 2014), e saggi, fra cui L’invenzione delle razze (Bompiani 2006), Contro il razzismo. Quattro ragionamenti (con Marco Aime,
Federico Faloppa e Clelia Bartoli, Einaudi 2015), Gli africani siamo noi (Laterza 2016) e Come eravamo. Storie dalla grande storia dell’uomo (Laterza 2022).
Nel 2014 ha vinto il Premio Napoli per la lingua e la cultura italiana.
