THE ARCHIVES OF THE OLYMPIC ACADEMY

Curator of the Archives Prof. Vittorio Bolcato

Ancient Archive

The ancient archive includes documents from the year of the Olympic Academy foundation to the end of the 18th century and, partially, to the first half of the 19th century. In 1883 it was entrusted on deposit to the Bertoliana Civic Library in Vicenza by resolution of the Academic Council.
Microfilms and digital reproductions are available for consultation at the Academy.

Concluded Archive

L’archivio concluso riguarda il periodo che va dall’inizio del secolo XIX al 1994 ed è accessibile agli studiosi.

Other Archives

The Academy preserves the Archives of the dissolved “Standing Committee for Performances in the Olympic Theater (1935-1987)” and the personal archives of the Academicians:

  • Mario Andreis (1893-1974),
  • Fernando Bandini (1931-2013),
  • Aristide Dani (1927-2008),
  • Almerigo Girotto (1897-1967),
  • Germano Gualdo (1926-2005),
  • Enrico Niccolini (1916-2011)

In particular, the Fernando Bandini Archive has been declared “of particularly important historical interest” by the Soprintendenza archivistica e bibliografica del Veneto e del Trentino Alto Adige (Archival and Bibliographical Superintendence – Veneto and Trentino Alto Adige Regions)
(Venice, May 26, 2017).
